St. Louis, Missouri July 30, 2014

A safer alternative to tobacco, electronic cigarettes are surging in popularity all over the bi-state area. With more than 40 retailers in the St. Louis area, it has become a source of viable employment.
The FDA has announced deeming regulations of the e-cig industry and that worries small business owners in the St. Louis market. Comments on the proposed regulations will be taken until August 8th.

A.J. Moll, Vice President of Bistate Regional Advocates for Vaping Education (BRAVE) encourages all St. Louisans to comment. "Business owners will eventually be forced to close their doors, and that would mean a loss of 600,000 dollars in annual employee wages, literally handed over to big tobacco." said Moll

"Industry analysts tell us it will be a million dollars to complete one application, for one product." Moll added "Most vendors carry hundreds of products."

"Regular citizens may comment on the proposal and the FDA is required by law to look at every single comment before they issue their final rule." Moll said.
